five trends for autumn/winter 2013

 It’s the time of year when internationally the fashion world reveals its style guides and look books for the Autumn/Winter season.

Metro took a look at some of the hottest trends this new season:

1. Pink

Whether a subtle pale or a bright bubblegum shade, pink is ‘the’ colour for autumn. Grab an oversized pink coat and you’ll have two trends down for the season.

2. The investment bag

Mulberry’s new Primrose bag shows off the traditional Mulberry postman lock, but is more structured in its appearance for AW13.

3. Shiny

Shiny fabrics will be hot in Autumn, especially when they include pink. Try a mid length pink skirt in a high shine material paired with a plain white T-shirt or oversized sweater.

4. Leather

Leather is sticking around for winter and is a great option for creating a bit of edge to your work outfits. A good leather dress will see you from the office to evening drinks.

5. Dark florals

Who said florals need to stay in summer? This winter is all about vivid blues and rich red florals set against darker shades.
