The dress

A kaftan dress brings a touch of glamour to your beachwear and can easily be turned into evening wear with a few accessories. Another bonus is its ability to hide those indulgences that come with summer, such as mojitos and lobster rolls.

A lightweight dress can be easily stuffed into a beach bag ready for a quick change. Opt for bright colours and bold patterns, which will highlight your sun-kissed skin.

A maxi dress is casual yet sophisticated and is perfect for even the finest bars teamed with a few jewels and a stylish clutch.

The shoes

Leave the thongs behind and opt for a sandal instead. Woven leather sandals are both comfortable and chic and metallic styles add a touch of razzle-dazzle. For a bit of height, look for a strappy wedge.

The bag

A modern print will disguise the fact it is laden with sunscreen and a towel. An island print works perfectly as a festive clutch or a chain leather bag works well for both the day and night.

The accessories

Hide wet hair with a playful chiffon scarf or add a belt to a kaftan to bring it in at the waist. A long delicate necklace will look both pretty on the beach and stylish for the bar. For simple beachwear, a statement piece of jewellery can bring instant glamour to an outfit.
