how to get away with comfort dressing

Everyone has those times when they feel like staying in their pajamas all day, but for most it’s not an option. Turning up to the office in your comfiest get up doesn’t really scream professional, so the trick is to find ways to comfort dress yet still look stylish.

Harpers Bazaar offers a guide to comfort dressing with pizzazz:

The pajamas

Forget flannel, invest in a chic Marc Jacobs silk sleepwear set. Jacobs himself loves his 2013 pajama collection so much that he wore a different pair to each of his recent runway shows!

Luxe basics

Invest in an item made from luxurious merino wool. A sweater in this stuff will be stylish, yet comfy. Also try soft cotton basics, and layer your look.

Knit

There is something so comfortable about knitwear, yet knit offers an edgy approach to dressing down. It’ll also keep you snug on cold days.

Slip

If Victoria Beckham can wear one to Wimbledon, then why not stay cool and stylish in summer with a Louis Vuitton slip.

Robe

Long coats and sweaters that resembled dressing gowns were recently spotted on the catwalks. Embrace this loose, unstructured garment.

Jumper dress

A jumper dress is the ultimate in comfort and a number of styles are currently available that incorporate a contemporary twist. Finish it off with a smokey eye for a casual but uber cool look.

Sweatshirt

You don’t have to look like a hobo when wearing a sweatshirt. You just need to team it with the right accessories. A baggy sweatshirt looks great with a pair of skin tight leggings or a more fitted sweatshirt looks fab with a structured skirt.
