1. Insta likes no more
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would have heard the news that has shocked the Australian social media world. That’s right, the days of constantly checking your posts to see how many likes it - and who has liked it, are behind us and we don’t know about you, but we are loving it. Although this feature is only in testing with Australian and New Zealander users acting as the guinea pigs, we are hoping this feature is here to stay. IG was originally intended to share gorgeous content and we are so happy that this feature will encourage us all to go back to this. Are you loving or hating it?
2. The Lion King release
FINALLY, the movie of the year has hit Aussie cinemas. The much anticipated live action remake of The Lion King has landed and features a star-studded line up with the likes of Donald Glover, Queen Beyonce, Seth Rogan making an appearance and not to mention, an array of original cast members. Weekend plans sorted, amirite?
3. Gossip Girl Reboot
With The Hills reboot in full swing we did not anticipate another of our FAVE series to reappear on the small screen. Gossip Girl is set to return and we can’t wait. Please note, it is unconfirmed as to whether the original cast members like Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford or Ed Westwick will reappear but it’s safe to say that we couldn’t imagine GG without them.
4. Sarah Hyland & Wells Adams Engagement
Sarah Hyland (Haley Dumphy - Modern Family) announced her engagement to long term beau Wells on Instagram earlier this week and we are here for it! Having publically overcome domestic abuse in a previous relationship, mental and physical health issues throughout the years, the #queen seems happier than ever and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her.
5. Harry Styles to be Disney Prince???
Disney’s live action remake of The Little Mermaid is in full swing and whilst we have confirmation of who will be playing Ariel, there is a big question mark over who is set to play her love interest, Prince Eric. We have everything crossed that Harry will make his live action debut. Watch this space!
